This is a WordPress blog. Here are instructions if you need to know how it works.

(Anyone can read this site, but to post, you need to be registered. To register, write a note to the listserve and I'll contact you with the info you need.)

The posts all appear in reverse chronological order (newest at the top).  If you click on the categories at the right side of the page, you can see all the posts made in each of those categories. If you click on the Archives, you can see all the posts made in each month.

To post a story:

First - Log in: click on "Login" near the bottom of the right hand column. Then type in your user name and password. Now you can either write an entry, or write a comment on someone else's entry.

To write an entry:
Start on the "Dashboard" page.  If you've just logged in, you'll be there.  If you're on the main front page of the blog, click on "Site Admin" just above "Log out" on the bottom right side of the page.

Go to "Posts" on the left side of the page, and under "Posts", click on "Add New".  Now you'll see a place to put a new entry.

Type in the title of your entry in the title box - the long narrow one at the top.
Type the entry itself in the large square box below the title.

The buttons between the two boxes will allow you to do fancy things to your entry - change the type to bold or italics, add a link or a photo, etc. (For tips about these buttons, go to the next page: More Tips for Posting.)
Look to the right side of the boxes,  and check one of the category boxes. If it doesn't fit in one of the categories I set up, let me know and we can make a new one. "Bugs" is the catch-all category for things that don't fit anywhere else.

If you want to see what your post will look like, click on "Preview this post" on the top right side of the page.

Review your post, then click on "edit this entry" - at the bottom of the post - to go back to writing your post.
When you're happy with your post, click the "publish" button on the right side of the page.

You did it! Now, to see your post, click on "visit site" at the top of the page.

If you want to change your post, you can always click on "edit" at the bottom of your post.  (You always have to be logged in to be able to edit.)
